What is WordPress?

WordPress has become one of the most popular Content Management Systems (CMS) around. It has an administration section that is user-friendly and intuitive. It used to be made for blogs, but it has evolved into a full blown CMS in the last few years.

If you want a website that you have almost total control over, a WordPress site might be your best bet.  I can take a WordPress theme and modify the design to your liking.

As far as functionality, there’s a plug-in available for almost anything you want your website to do.  Do you want to add another social network to your sidebar?  Just insert the URL into the appropriate field in your social media widget.  Need a Paypal Shopping Cart?  Just download the plug-in, install it, and slap it in the sidebar.  You can also name your site pages anything you want for search engine optimization purposes.  All of this can be done without knowing a lick of HTML.

Once your WordPress website is finished, you’ll rarely need me.  You’ll be able to add your own pages to the navigation menu, and updates are a cinch.  If you’re able to  update your Facebook profile, then you can update a WordPress website.
