How to go to a website without typing in the www or the .com

You can type a website address without the www or the .com and still go the website (see the screenshot to the left).  To do this, type in the name of the website (without the www and .com), hold the Ctrl Key and press Enter, and the www and the .com will be filled out for you.  This works for both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.  This may save you a few seconds to even a minute of typing depending on how fast you can type.   If you’re browsing the internet through Mozilla Firefox, you can actually do the same thing for websites with a .net extension.  You would just hold...
