Check your website keyword density

Keyword Density Report on one of Fightaholic.com's pages

A great SEO tool to use is the Keyword Density Analyzer Tool.  It checks for the most prominent keywords in your website pages.  It’ll show you results for single keywords, two keyword phrases, three keyword phrases, and four keyword phrases.

If the keywords you want to be ranked for aren’t showing up in this data, you may want to revise your content by putting in those keywords.  Some places where you could insert some keywords and keyword phrases are:

  • Your headings
  • Your links
  • Bullet points
  • Bolded and italicized text

Search engines give more weight to keywords in these areas.  You can take a look at a page from my MMA, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, and Self-Defense Private Lesson website to see how I used keywords and keyword phrases naturally.

I don’t have that many incoming links to the website, but I get around 2-4 inquiries for private lessons a week, and all of the leads come from search engines.  I give private lessons as a side gig, so that’s more than enough for me.
